Free Since the Beginning
I started making fonts during COVID as a way to stay creative. I began giving them away for free, hoping they might help other designers, students, and creatives keep making things too.
I just never stopped.
One font turned into ten, then fifty, and eventually a library of more than 180 typefaces. Along the way, they’ve been used by brands and publications like ESPN, Entertainment Weekly, Delish, and many others—and by countless designers and students in work of their own.
180+ fonts later, I still believe creativity is better when it’s shared. If something I make can inspire someone else to create, that’s reason enough to keep giving it away.

Are BN fonts really available for free?

Yes, the weekly free font is 100% free. Every new BN Type Foundry release is made available as a free download for a limited time. The current free font remains available until the next typeface is released.
How long is each font available for free?

There is no fixed number of days. Each new font remains the current free release until the next BN typeface is launched.
What happens when I miss a
free font release?

Once a new typeface is released, the previous font returns to the complete BN Type Foundry collection and the newest release becomes the current free font. The previously free font, becomes one you can purchase.
Can I use a free font for commercial projects?

Yes, but it only allows for 1 individual user with general usage rights, logo creation, branding, client-based projects. If you are a design studio, or need more users to have access to the typeface, please reach out.
